FAQ
Wikipedia defines them as "keywords or terms associated with or assigned to a piece of information (e.g. a picture, article, or video clip), thus describing the item and enabling keyword-based classification of information for the purpose of retrieval." On Paheal, tags are a way of categorizing and searching for our porn. Please note that any changes you make to tags affect all users, and that changing them changes them for everyone.
Make sure you separate words in a search with underscores "_" e.g. super_mario, NOT super mario. Still cant find stuff? Try the tag list on the navigation bar, just click "Full list" to see a list of every character, series, artist on the site. Also don't forget that you can search by more than one tag. Or enter a minus to exclude things with that tag. ie Kim_Possible -Wade_Load -Ron_Stoppable would show all pics from the Kim Possible show, except those with Wade or Ron.
You can link to other images in the comments and image reports using >> followed by the image number. For example, >>123123 would link to https://whyneko.com/post/view/123123
Unfortunately, we don't have filtration by content, as content tags are not allowed. However, we do have tag filtration, accessed by a link on your profile page. Just enter the tags you never want to see. If you consistently do not like the uploads of a particular user, add "-user=baduser" to your search, where "baduser" is the person you want to avoid. You can also look up the user ID (found by clicking on the name) and add "-user_id=12345" instead. Don't go berserk filtering a ton of tags. It will slow down your access to the site. Just the stuff you really hate.
If the featured image on the left is something you don't want to always see while browsing, you can hide and show it by clicking on the box above it that says "Featured Image".
Note that these filters are stored in cookies, so if you clear your cookies they go away. You will have to re-enter them in that case.
Image scores are simply a way for users to express which pictures they like and which they do not like. Only signed-in members can vote, and each account gets one vote per image.
Yes, you can. You can search "score>x", "score=x", or "score<x", where x=image_score. x can also be negative, for instance "score<-10" to see only the really bad stuff.
Yes, you can. You can search "posted>YYYY-MM-DD" or "posted<YYYY-MM-DD", where YYYY is year, MM is month, and DD is day. These are according to server time, and are inclusive (so posted>2010-05-10 would also return images posted on 2010-05-10 as well as afterward).
Yes, you can now find images you've voted for or against by searching for the meta-tags upvoted_by=/downvoted_by= followed by a username or upvoted_by_id=/downvoted_by_id= followed by a user ID. Remember that case matters. Note that this allows you to keep track of your favorite pics (or the ones you hate). Just vote on them and you will always be able to find them again.
First, DO NOT create another account if you can't remember the password of the existing one. Multiple accounts are against the rules.
Just email at admin@whyneko.com with your account name. Be sure to use the email address associated with the account or provide some other proof the account is yours. If you have a static IP address, include that as well so we can verify your identity. If you are reading this and haven't had this problem yet, it would be wise to make sure you have an email address for your account. While you can.
1. Go to "My Profile" and specify your email address. Note: users cannot see this address, only administrators.
2. Go to https://en.gravatar.com/site/signup/ and create an account for that email address.
3. On the Gravatar site, follow the directions to upload or select an image. You can link to one on the Internet and Gravatar will capture it for you.
That's all it takes. Be aware that sometimes there is a delay before the avatar appears, for unknown reasons. Wait a little while before asking about it.
Users can't delete their own accounts. An admin has to do it for them. Send an email asking for a deletion. However, you have to prove you own the account, so before doing that make sure the email for your account is the one you are sending the request from.
Also, even if the account is deleted, the comments/uploads remain. They just go to anonymous. In general, users lose control of pics once they are uploaded. The exception is artists, but that requires another level of proof. See the section above about artists having their own pics deleted.
